The word 'yoga' comes from the Sanskrit word 'to yoke' - or union. Yoga is a union of the mind, body and soul, and teaches the practice of Eka Grata - or one pointedness. Yoga can be adapted for anyone of any age or fitness and can help calm the mind, destress the body and soothe the soul.
I have been practising yoga on and off since I was in my teens, and I qualified as a Yoga Teacher in 2016. My classes are suitable for all levels - there's no such thing as not being flexible enough to practice yoga - that's like saying you're too dirty to have a bath! I qualified in traditional Hatha yoga, where poses are held for up to a minute, but I personally practice Vinyasa, or flowing Yoga, so my classes have become a gentle mix of the two. In December 2018 I qualified in Pregnancy Yoga with Sally Parkes, after having more and more ladies at my classes that were pregnant, and I now offer Pre and Post Natal yoga, as well as Mum & Baby classes. I work with local groups, and have previously taught in local cafes, have done 1-2-1 classes and family classes at private homes. I offer group classes, including Hen Do's, and I run regular workshops. I also run retreats throughout the South Coast.

I am also a qualified Clinical Nutritionist, specialising in Vegan and Vegetarian diets. I have been Vegan myself for over 8 years, and Vegetarian almost 20. I am certified with the Association for Nutrition (AfN) and a member of the Society of Holistic Therapists (SHTC), as well as a member of the Vegan Society.
